Getting dressed isn’t about proving your worth. It’s understanding that your image speaks before you do.

The clothes aren’t the whole story. But why pretend the cover doesn’t matter? 😉

August is the in-between month. It’s still hot, but your eye is already starting to move toward fall.

You may be ready for fall before the weather is. The goal is to dress for the temperature without ignoring the season you’re ready to move into.

This is where you shift the mood without changing seasons completely. Deeper colors, stronger accessories and richer textures can make a summer silhouette feel like it’s moving toward fall.

You’re still dressing for today’s temperature, you’re just styling with the next season in mind.

Transitional dressing is about mixing seasons in the same outfit. Keep the pieces that make sense for the heat, shorts, a tee, open sandals, then introduce one fall piece, like a blazer.

You get the feeling of fall without dressing too heavy for August.

One of the easiest ways to introduce fall early is through fabric, not more clothing. Leather, velvet, suede and heavier fabrics immediately read fall.

Pair them with a tank, cropped pant or open sandal so the outfit still works while it’s warm.
