The name may have changed, but the woman remains the same. She’s still dedicated, kind-hearted Β passionate, a fashion enthusiast and driven! Ok, now that I’ve given you a friendly reminder of me, let’s address the elephant in the room. Where have I been? Β It’s simple, working on me! I have been blogging and working on Fashion Savvy selling clothes since 2008. Β I began to feel like it was getting the best of me, instead of me doing my best! Little known fact about me, I never started Fashion Savvy to sell clothes, for me it was to Β meet the needs of women, while providing an overall great experience.

Fast-forward to today. I’m back, rejuvenated, and ready to show you guys what I’ve been working on. Knowing what works on your body, understanding proportion, recognizing when something needs adjusting, and knowing when an outfit is finished. Getting dressed well was never just about having good clothes. There was knowledge attached to it. π…π€π’π‡πˆπŽπ πˆππ…πŽπ‘πŒπ€π“πˆπŽπ 𝐕𝐒 π…π€π’π‡πˆπŽπ πŠππŽπ–π‹π„πƒπ†π„... Knowing what everyone is wearing is information. Knowing why something works is knowledge. One tells you what is happening in fashion. The other helps you decide what deserves a place in your own wardrobe. There is value in both, but they are not interchangeable. ππ”π˜πˆππ† 𝐓𝐇𝐄 π‘πˆπ†π‡π“ π’πˆπ™π„..... The fitting room should be the beginning of the conversation, not the end. Look beyond whether something zips or buttons. Where does the shoulder sit? How does the fabric fall? Are the pockets pulling? Is the sleeve ending in the right place? Does the trouser work with the shoe you intend to wear? The number on the tag cannot answer any of that. 𝐓𝐇𝐄 πŠππŽπ–π‹π„πƒπ†π„ 𝐖𝐄 π‹πŽπ’π“..... There used to be a vocabulary around clothes that had very little to do with trends. Hemming. Pressing. Mending. Altering. Polishing. Knowing fabrics. Knowing what belonged at the cleaner and what could be washed at home. Knowing which bra changed the way a dress sat. None of this was glamorous. It was simply part of being dressed. Maybe this is the distinction worth bringing back: clothes are what we own. Knowing clothes is what allows us to do something with them. That knowledge changes how you shop, how you recognize quality, how long you keep something, how you style it and even how much you need to own. And perhaps that’s why two women can own equally beautiful wardrobes and have completely different relationships with getting dressed.
